If you’re preparing to play a lot of ping-pong, and if you have a big enough space in your residence, why not develop a ping-pong table? With the appropriate material, tools, and instructions, you can create 1 of these tables for oneself, your friends, and your family.
Step 1 – Developing Your Table to Regulation Size
You are going to want your table to be regulation size, which is 9 feet lengthy and 5 feet wide, 30 inches high. Make the table prime out of plywood.
Step 2 – Developing Your Table Frame
To make your table base, cut two pieces of 2 x two lumber, every single 9 feet extended. Cut 2 far more pieces, each 4′ 8″ long. Lay these pieces on a flat surface with the long pieces parallel with every single other and almost 5 feet apart. Then, lay one brief piece between the long pieces at the best finish, and the other brief piece in between the extended pieces at the bottom end. This must type a triangle 9 feet extended and five feet wide. Drill a guide hole by way of the top and bottom ends of the long pieces and into the ends of the brief pieces. Attach every corner with screws driven into the sides of the extended pieces and into the ends of the brief pieces.
Step three – Constructing Your Table Best
Measure and cut your plywood sheets so that you have two pieces, every single 4′ wide, 5′ extended. Cut two much more pieces, the first piece, 5′ extended and 2′ wide, the second piece, 5′ extended and 1′ wide. Place the two large pieces side-by-side, with a 1′ gap amongst them, spot the narrower of the two tiny pieces between the two huge pieces. When fastened with each other, these 3 pieces should make 1 piece, 5′ wide, 9′ extended. Use the wider of the two narrow pieces as a plate that spans the middle of the table best where the 3 pieces are joined together. Then, use wood screws to fasten the plate to the 3 leading pieces. This will make one strong table top, 5′ wide and 9′ extended. Counter sink the screws and fill in the holes with wood filler.
Step 4 – Attach Frame to Table Prime
Use wood glue, wood screws, and clamps to attach the frame to the bottom surface of the table leading.
Step 5 – Reduce and Attach the Table Legs
Measure and reduce four legs from the two x 2’s, each and every 29 ½ inches long. Use screws to attach every leg at a corner of the table, at the inside edge of the frame.
Step six – Finish
Fill with wood putty the cracks in the table leading made by connecting the 3 pieces of plywood. When the filler is dry, sand the joints. Paint the table with medium green paint. When the paint is dry, use masking tape and white paint to make a narrow border.
